It's Saturday morning...my favorite time of the week. Little girl is watching "Handy Manny" and little boy is out with daddy on a trip to the men's toy store...aka Home Depot.
We had a very nice week, little girl was sick last weekend, so we just relaxed around the house. On Wednesday we went to the movies with friends and played at our favorite indoor playground - McDonald's. It has been SO HOT outside, it's practically impossible to do anything outside for longer than a few minutes. The McDs down the street has a very large indoor play place that the kids love.
Friday was a fun adventure to our cousin's house for a pool party. There were SO many kids!! What a fun time, but our little boy was a little overwhelmed. We've been dealing with a tantrum phase with him lately...we are just trying to wait it out with patience and understanding. He easily becomes overwhelmed by his emotions, and soon we know he will be able to learn some self control. It's taken us quite a bit of frustration to get to the point where we understand that he just needs us to understand!
This weekend is Father's day, and we are looking forward to spending some time with the men in our lives that are so special to us.
